Projects Projects Projects!

Well not only are we getting ready for a baby but we have a mini kitchen remodel going on at the same time! When we returned from Christmas break we discovered a significant section of our tile floor had seperated from the concrete and the grout lines were crumbling! Hoping we could put off fixing it we continued with our daily routines as we closely monitored them. But finally Jeremy had to just pick up the tiles revealing an ugly concrete floor beneath :( We decided with our tax return that we would buy new tile floor and Jeremy would install it with his buddy that is knowledgable on tiling. (Thank goodness!) So that will save A LOT of money.

So because of Jeremy's schedule he had to start ripping up all the tile now even though they can't install new tile until April during their leave. So I am currently hating how much dust and dirt is floating around my house! Dust is already my worst enemy and now I can't do anything about it!!! Every time I dust anything there will immediately be more dust because Jeremy is not completely finished with the floor. He still has the laundry room tile to pull up and then go back over the entire floor to try and remove the left over thin set and grout. My dining room is right off the kitchen and I can't even bear to look in there because my poor hard wood floors are just covered in dust! Which I cannot mop because I have to buy a new mop since my current one sucks and I don't want to even attempt anyway because all you have to do is walk from the kitchen to the dining room or entry way and you'll track it in again! And with dogs you cant keep them from going in there. So please pray that I don't lose my mind from all the dust!! AHHHH!!

On top of the floor we are going to tile our backsplash and get granite countertops installed! The tiling part again we can do ourselves but the countertops will be installed by home depot. All Jeremy has to do is pull up the current counter tops before they come. All of this should be completed by the end of April. I'm so excited!

Finally I have the task of re organizing our guest room and decorating the baby room! Currently my brother in law Bryce occupies the room we want to use for the nursery. So before he deploys he is moving out all his belongings so I can put up all the baby stuff! I want to start painting it now though. So I'll decide on paint probably this weekend. I also want to start making stuff for the baby with my sewing machine that i have yet to use!! If there's one thing that makes me anxious it's projects piling up and me not feeling like i have time for any of them!
But I can only do so much in each day. Will post a picture soon of what our kitchen looks like currently.
