Optimism

Sometimes towards the end of winter everyone gets kind of grumpy and depressed.  It's still cold outside, everything is dead, the sun doesn't shine, it's TAX season, and maybe you're not following through on your resolutions like you had hoped.

I've always been very optimistic.  I like to look on the bright side of every situation and see the blessing that it is so I don't get stuck in negative town.  So here's a couple things that I sometimes start to get upset about but once I see the blessing I thank God for it :)

Complaint
* I don't want to go to work, I want to stay home and be with my baby!
 Blessing
* I have an amazing, stress free job that is flexible with my schedule and pays very well!

Complaint
* Day Care is so dang expensive!!
Blessing
* I can still afford it!  And Caden is learning valuable social skills and enjoys playing with the other babies and likes the ladies that take care of him while he's there.  I do not have to worry about him while he's there and that is a RELIEF!!

Complaint
* I still have these last 10 pounds to lose and they won't budge!
Blessing
* (trust me it was hard to think of the blessing in this!) I am still in the healthy range for my height and age and am by no means fat!  Also Jeremy thinks i'm beautiful and never fails to tell me so!

Complaint
* Caden does not sleep through the night 100% yet.
Blessing
* (this one is easy!) I have a healthy baby boy!!!  Some people can't have babies and would LOVE to wake up in the middle of the night to comfort their own so wake up I do with a smile on my face because it's just another moment I get to hold our son :)

Complaint
* The pool is a pain in the butt to keep clean and maintenanced!
Blessing
* I have a pool!  hahahaha

The list could go on and on but you get the idea!  So if you find yourself in a yucky mood try and look at the blessings in your life!!!
