Feeling a little more back on track

Because so many of you are so amazing and care so much you probably already know that Monday's appointment went very well :)  But for those of you that don't have facebook I need to update you!

Our appointment was first thing Monday morning in Atlanta.  930 but we had to leave the house by 7.  Luckily we got into the city right after all the traffic chaos so it really was no problem!  We were all packed up and ready to stay in case Christian needed the transfusion.  I had an awesome peace about everything.  I just knew that if we had to have the transfusion it would be ok and there was nothing to worry about!

Whenever we get the ultrasounds the nurse does it first and then the doctor comes in and takes his own readings and the results are discussed.  While the nurse was performing the ultrasound she said the baby looked better than the previous week!  But we had to wait and make sure the doctor confirmed the same thing before we could be sure.  He came in and had the same conclusion :) Christian was no longer looking anemic and there was no sign of hydrops.  So we made it another week without needing a transfusion!!  The doctor was so sweet too when he first came into the room.  He said he had been thinking about us all week and was very anxious to see how Christian was doing!

We got a really cute picture of CAM's profile too.  (FYI CAM is Christian's initials and we're using that as his nickname)

Our next appointment is on monday so we will just pray that CAM keeps producing enough red blood cells and doesn't need a transfusion!  But like I said if he does then God will watch over him and everything will be ok.

I'm so thankful for this good news!  All last week I kind of was just looking to make it to the appointment and didn't feel like myself.  I was out of whack and didn't like it one bit.  I feel like I can breathe now and keep on truckin!  Even if it looks like he's going to need a transfusion at a future appointment I know I can keep going and be myself.  Not only for me, but for my family.  God is soooo Good!  He's just really given me peace and strength.  And not to mention my Mother in Law's ability to be here with us!  Such a blessing to know Caden is being taken care of when we have to be gone.  And just to be able to spend time with her!  Love it!

Thanks again for staying updated on our little family!  Your prayers are definitely working and I can't say thank you enough.  I pray every night thanking God for everyone that stops to pray for us.  So Thank you Thank you.  Love you so much!  Many blessings to you and your family. :)

  1. I'm SO glad that Christian is doing better! What a handsome little profile shot too! Thanks for sharing your amazing journey with us (I'm sure someday Christian would love to read these blogs too!). I think he's going to be one tough little cookie!
