Thankful for Jeremy

Jeremy.  My soul mate. My best friend. My favorite. My Husband.

I'm so thankful for him. And so eternally blessed that God brought us together.  There is no doubt in our minds that we are meant to be together forever.  The journey we've had so far these past 4 years is just beautiful.  Of course there are ups and downs.  Sometimes the downs seem very far down. But then the ups are that much higher!

Marriage takes work.  The bible says:
"Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them."
—Colossians 3:18-19
That sounds so simple right?  Yet so difficult at the same time.  I'm not going to preach and say I know what makes a marriage work and what doesn't.  I just know what the bible says and that we can't do it alone.  We are human and we make mistakes.  We don't always say the right things, or do the right things.  We need God present in our lives every day.  It's also hard to not expect your husband to be everything to you.  He can't be everything.  If you expect that you'll always be disappointed.  That's what God is there for.  And likewise for your hubby.  We can't be everything.  We will always fall short.
Kind of nice to know that we don't have to be perfect right?  I think so.

So I sit here and just think about how wonderful Jeremy is to me.  He provides for me.  Takes care of me. Loves me unconditionally, makes me laugh, knows what buttons to push, knows my likes, dislikes. When something is wrong.  When everything is just fine.  He's an amazing father and best of all loves The Lord.  I will always be his wife and he will always be my husband.  And for that I am thankful!
