First in July my little bro is getting married!! I'm so incredibly excited about it!! Her name is Michele and she's so perfect for Tony. They are so cute together and she makes my brother so happy. They will be getting married in Houston and I can't wait to see the whole family and just celebrate!! I hope everyone can make it. Mine and Jeremy's engagement was only 3 weeks long so needless to say not very many people could make it ;) haha. Sadly Jeremy will not be able to go with Caden and I. :*( But he will be starting warrant officer training to become a helicopter pilot! He's so pumped about it.
Second is my family reunion!! It's my mom's side of the family and we always go camping! It's so much fun. I'm really looking forward to this because it will be Caden's first reunion! And again Jeremy will not be able to go :( He wasn't able to go to the last one either because of work. I'm sad a lot of the family hasn't met him yet. Boo. The reunion will be in August and in Idaho. It's so pretty and very relaxing. All we do is hang out and play games and eat! It's just an awesome time to reconnect as a family.
I'm just looking forward to every day really. Every morning I wake up and Caden is doing something new. Lately it seems as though he's growing and learning at a lightning fast speed! Even the family has mentioned that he seems smarter in just these two short weeks! My brother gave me the best compliment today when he said him and Michele will be asking us for parenting advice because Caden is so smart and such a good kid! :) I feel like getting him in pre school really helps though. He gets to interact with other kids and they have a fun learning schedule.
So with the start of a new year typically comes a list of resolutions!! I always feel like I come up with a long list of resolutions that are just too much to try and do and change at once. I've learned that I am able to change things if I implement the changes one or two at a time. Then once they are part of my normal routine I can change something else if I need to! So the two I feel are most important are as follows:
#1: Make working out a part of my daily routine. I am always very inconsistent about my workouts. I will get in modes where I am doing really well and then something happens whether its a vacation, or big life change like getting pregnant, or even just laziness and I'll slowly stop. Then I get so upset at myself! I feel so good when I'm working out. It gives me energy, it makes me feel good about myself, and of course it's just healthy! So that's numero uno!
#2: And by no means are these in order of priority, but my second resolution is to start reading and studying the Bible. I have always wanted to do this but it's always been so intimidating to me. I start to read a verse and get confused. My Sister in Law Stacey is going to help me out and I know Jeremy will be excited to read with me. It will be good for us to do it together.
So here we go! Starting 2011 off great already with a blog ;) We spent our New Year's Eve here at my Mother In Law's house just hanging with family and watching a movie. We all had a yummy family dinner at a mexican restaraunt then came back to the house to hang out. Caden slept on the way to, and all through dinner so of course he was wide awake all night! He got to stay up and ring in the new year with us. :) I got two kisses, one from Jeremy the other from Caden! My heart is full of love.
I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Eve and that 2011 brings you many blessings!
