Close up of above the cabinets. I got everything from Hobby Lobby. A couple of fake ferns and orchids, a cross for only $2! Letters that spell out CLEAN, and the little plaque on the right says "Happy wife, Happy life" :)
My little Laundry center :) The sign that spells out Laundry also came from Hobby Lobby. I got the shelf from Lowes after lots of searching for something a little more decorative I just couldn't find anything wide enough to fit clothes on. But it still looks great. The hanging rod is just a shower curtain rod from Target, and the hooks are Plant hangers that the previous owners had put in the backyard on the Trellis and I have never hung any plants on them. I was trying to figure out how I would hang the rod without looking tacky and while standing on the back porch I saw one of the hangers and thought the curtain rod would rest perfectly in that hook! I'm so glad there were two matching ones just hanging out in my back yard!
Almost the same as before on this wall, I just bought a decorative hanger for my aprons and re-usable shopping bags. Before they were just hanging on push pins!
My new pantry!! To replace the ugly corner one that was hard to find things in and just an eye sore! I plan to put some kind of plant on the top to decorate but haven't found anything yet. Looking at it you would think there's not as much space but there's MORE. I was able to clear out the breakfast and snack stuff from my kitchen cabinets and move them in here! Now I'm working on re-organizing my kitchen cabinets. And so far they are looking great :)
TA-DA! A place for everything and everything in its place :)
SO I would like to thank my PARENTS for raising me right and teaching me how to use power tools and paint! Without which I would have spent a lot of time waiting for Jeremy to get home and most days he gets home later in the evening and by then it's dinner time, Caden's bath and bed time and Jeremy needs to relax, not work on the laundry room. BUT he did help me hang the shelf and hanging rod, and move the Pantry once it was assembled into place. Everything else I did all by myself :) Yes that includes taking apart the old pantry, and moving the washer and dryer around to paint behind it.
I had to paint Monday night after I put Caden to bed. It was just too much of a hassle trying to get it done during the day. The pantry I assembled Wed night. Now that was probably the hardest thing of the whole project. But in the end, all completely worth it! Completing this project has motivated me to keep working my way through the house which is why I'm working on the kitchen cabinets right now.
So let me know what you think! I can't wait to do some laundry!
Looks awesome! So clean, organized AND stylish! And don't ya just LOVE Hobby Lobby?? =)

I would love a laundry ROOM- we have one that doubles as the entry to the garage. It's not very nice.... but maybe I can spruce it up anyway. Thanks for the inspiration!

Valerie Mine also is an entry to the garage!! So I guess technically my laundry room is a "mud-room" But I would love to see what you end up doing with your space! Thanks for stopping by!
