Project List!

Just when I think I'm caught up with my projects I start thinking of new ones! I'm really big on making lists so this is just as good a place as any to make one. Also, maybe yall will hold me accountable and make sure I get them done! :)  Something about saying things "out loud" kind of helps get them done too.

So here's my list so far:

Finish Caden's Toy Nook - working on a really fun idea to decorate the walls in there I can't wait to share if I actually do it!

Guest room - I like how it's set up right now but I would like to decorate it differently.  This project will be a long one because I'm in no rush.  I want to find unique things and new ideas so it will be fun to play around in there :)

My closet - I've been organizing the heck out of my entire house and all though I got rid of a lot of clothes I dont wear anymore I realized I ignored the actual organizing of my closet! So I have some ideas, but I would like to take my time finding just the right things and ways to organize so more to come on this one.

Learning to sew - I got the bug to learn to sew a WHILE ago.  So for my birthday one year  I got a sewing machine! And there it sits still in the box never been used. :( Bad Jessi!!!  I can't believe it. Well yes I can because I know why I never got around to it but better late then never.

Scrapbook catch-up and memory keeping going forward - I have wedding and Caden scrapbooks that need to be done. I have alot of stuff in totes for each just waiting to be put together.

Thinking of getting it all out makes me anxious! mostly because I know it will need to stay out until it's done.  But in order to move forward I have to get these done. A friend of mine Terri told me about Project Life by Becky Higgins.  It's a simple way to save pictures and memories I just love it!  Can't wait to get started on that!

A vegetable garden - This year I want to do a raised garden bed and plant veggies!  A dear friend of mine Janet has one and told me what worked really well so I will be starting it here soon! EEEK!  wish me luck!

A compost - An idea also from Janet!  I had thought of doing this but wasn't really seriously thinking it over until she mentioned using her compost soil for the first time this year. She got a compost barrel from Sam's so I think I'll do the same.  Very excited about this! And for friends that give advice and motivation!

A pretty yard - I'm trying to come up with ideas for planting and flowers and a sweet set up for the side patio.  I've never done anything too fun because I was always working full time. So now I have time to plan and play!   I dont have a picture of the yard right now. But I will be sure to take a before picture when I start!

That's all I can think of for now. ;) Like that's not enough! Wish me luck and hold me accountable! Although now that I've listed them all out I am pretty pumped about everything and cant wait to start! I've had these all rolling around in my head and was getting overwhelmed because I didnt know where to begin. Now that it's all out I feel like I have some direction!

  1. This is a great list! I too want to learn how to sew. I got a sewing machine for Valentines Day but haven't yet found anyone to teach me how to use it! I also LOVE the Project Life idea. I saw something about it on another blog I read and promptly went to Amazon and added it to my wishlist! Maybe I'll get it for my birthday =)
    Good luck with your list!

  2. Great list! I need to do this so that it's a visual reminder of what I want to do. Also I heard my Aunt Jenny (she's amazing at sewing) might come over and give us a beginner's course this week at Amy's house. You should join us!
