Caden's first Easter adventures!

I have been SO busy lately! I'm behind on the blogging...writing and reading!  So if I haven't commented on your blog posts lately I'm sorry!  I've been all over the place it seems like.

I really wanted to share some pictures of Caden's first "real" Easter.  Last year he was still too little to understand how to hunt eggs and at 9 months babies aren't really a fan of grass! haha.  So this year was especially fun for us to watch Caden experience something new!

While he is still too young to understand the meaning of Easter we did talk a lot and pray about Jesus and how he rose from the grave!  Normally at bed time he is not interested in long stories and keeps wanting to flip the pages when I try to read his story book bible.  But the past two weeks he LOVES it.  It's one of my favorite times of the day.  We sit in the rocking chair in his room and I read the next story in his bible.  He cuddles up to me and we point at the pictures of Moses and Noah, Joseph and of course Jesus.  He pointed at the picture of the burning bush and said "hot".  hehe. So cute.    But it is especially fun for me as I'm still learning the bible too.  So we get to do it together and what could be more special than learning the word of God with your child?

Afterwards we kneel beside his bed and say our prayers.  He bows his little head and makes praying hands and listens to mommy pray.  Sometimes he even says his own little toddler prayer :) But he loves to say AMEN! It truly makes me so proud to watch him pray.  I catch him sometimes during the day "praying".  He will stop doing whatever it is put his hands together, bow his head and say something in toddler talk and then say AMEN! LOL.  I love it.  Its sooo precious.

Ok so here are some pictures of Caden hunting eggs :)  He participated in a total of 4 egg hunts so by Sunday he knew he was really after the candy not the egg!

Blessings to you,
