A beautiful find

Recently I have discovered a place called Habitat Restore!  I was reading another blog which of course I can't remember which one! And she mentioned checking out a habitat restore.  I had never heard of it so I googled it and voila! We had one!!  It's pretty sweet.
The renovation station sells new and used home-related items and building materials at generous discounts to the public. All proceeds are used to construct more homes to sell at zero percent interest to people who are not able to afford a conventional home mortgage.

They have all kinds of building materials! A DIY dream! Tile, doors, light fixtures, some furniture. It reminds me of Goodwill for building materials! We had fun browsing around and thinking of the projects we want to do.

We found this pretty little piano for just $100!

Jeremy called our sister in law Stacey who is pretty experienced with pianos to ask a few questions about whether we should purchase it or not.  After much discussion we decided we would love to have this a part of our family.  Jeremy knows how to play a little already so it's been nice listening to the music flow through the house! I have always wanted to play.  My parents bought me a keyboard when I was a teenager. And of course i didnt learn to play.  I also have a beautiful guitar my dad gave me that I also have yet to learn how to play! ;)

We looked up the serial number of the piano and from what we can find it seems to have been manufactured in 1939! So this is our first antique. :)  It's so pretty.  It needs to be tuned but Stacey recommends we let it set in the house first.  So we will look into doing that in a few weeks.

I took the front off so you could see the inside. Pianos are so beautiful dont you think?!

The emblem on the inside. It's so pretty.

Caden loves to press the keys and when the front was off he thought it was so cool to see the hammers move with each key!

Look at that face :)
