I'm not supermom!

Too often I find myself only blogging when I have something really fun or meaningful to share.  Like crafts, awesome organization, family fun times, or something the Lord has put on my heart to share.   Because of that it might seem like I'm always on top of it and constantly doing activities with Caden or cooking fantastic meals.

Let me assure you this is not the case! Especially these days when we are in Texas visiting family and Jeremy when he is free from training.  It's so difficult to get into a daily routine! Not to mention I have only done 3 of his homeschooling lessons in the past month!

I start to feel anxious, and like a terrible mom when Caden spends more than 30 minutes watching mickey mouse clubhouse ;)  I have to remember  that it's not about the number of activities we do, or how busy we stay, or how clean the house is.  It's about loving Caden and just being his mommy!

I found this really cool printable from Confessions of a Homeschooler comparing a Super Mom to an Abiding Mom.

So I will practice being an Abiding mom.  Giving myself Grace instead of expecting perfection, building a relationship with Caden instead of just doing things with him, and finding Peace in JESUS instead of the perfect environment!! Can I get an AMEN?! :)

Please check out Confessions of a Homeschooler's site for this printable and many others!

Love Ya'll!

Linking up! {technically this has a picture but I prefer to think of it as a reference chart :) }

  2. Lord, I needed that...so often I find myself saying, gosh, Jessi does this or that and I don't, or Caden does this or that and Eli doesn't yet. I struggle with constantly feeling like I'm not doing a good enough job as a mom. I'm really bad at comparing myself and my child to others...I should print this out and post it on my fridge!

  5. That is a great chart! We moms are so hard on ourselves sometimes. The God-centered checklist is so much better than the self-centered checklist. Thanks for sharing!
