A Surrendered Marriage Challenge

Happy Monday yall! We had a whilrwind weekend out of town for a family member's wedding and after dropping Jeremy off at the airport yesterday for a training course he will be at for 3 weeks, I'm left a little exhausted and cranky!

I stumbled upon this Surrendered Marriage Challenge and thought what a perfect way to keep our marriage at the forefront of our thoughts and prayers when we're apart!  And I'll admit I'm not the best at praying consistently.  So I feel like this will keep me accountable to pray for him while he's gone, and in doing so grow closer to God.  Not to mention just getting in the act of praying a purposeful prayer each day!

I love that at the beginning of the ebook she talks about making marriage about God, and not us.  When you think of a triangle, put yourself and your spouse at the bottom two corners, and God at the top.  As we grow closer to God, we also grow closer to one another.   I absolutely love that analogy.

So I'm in.  It's a free ebook that includes a daily verse, and prayer to pray for/with your spouse.  It doesn't take any time at all, just the act of really reading, and praying it I think will make the biggest difference in my day.  5 minutes of my day is totally worth it.

I would like to invite yall to join me in this challenge!  I've started a facebook group where I will post the daily verse and prayer.  Simply request to join! There will also be a link to the ebook for you to download yourself.  It will be a place for us to encourage, and hold one another accountable.  The group itself is closed, you do not have to friend those within the group.

I'm so excited  for this challenge and pray that you join me and keep me accountable too!
