What an exciting day I've had!

So as my first blog let me tell you that I've had a very very eventful day!

It started with me trying to get on post to get to work and the "friendly" gate gaurd informing me that my car decal is faded and that I need to visit the visitors center to get a guest pass! GREAT! so she stops the other traffic so I can turn around and go back to the visitors center. But I've realized that I forgot my work ID or CAC card for those military folks that know what one is and have to go home to get it because I can't log onto anything at work without it!

So I drive all the way home and search the house, yesterday's jeans, gym bag everything with no success! I decide to search my purse again for the 50th time and Ta-Da!!!!! It was there the whole dang time! Awesome.

Next I decide to take a different route back to work as the route I took home has too many lights. As I'm driving towards the highway I need to take somehow my brain decides to stop working and I go in the complete wrong direction!!! WTF?!! So the new highway I am taking will still take me to work in a round-about way so I continue on and decide to stop for a starbucks since I'm so close and obviously need it! And donuts for the office to make up for being so darn late!

Now I'm driving along feeling better about my day and get back to post and get my visitors pass like I'm supposed to drive up to a different gate gaurd and present my dependent military ID which he begins to inform me is expired!!!!! sh*$!!!! So he asks me to pull off to the side so he can fill out the appropriate paperwork that I will need to get a new one. While I'm pulled over another group of gate gaurds decides I'm the perfect candidate to have my car inspected!!!!!! At this point I'm just laughing because it's insane what all is happening to me this morning. Haha. So I pull up to the inspection zone and they review all of my ID's registration and after receiving the paperwork from the other gate gaurd I am FINALLY able to go to work.

Now being at work I still had to leave to go get a new ID because Jeremy will be out of town starting next week and I had to get new car tags in order to return to base on Monday and not be late for work.

So I am excited to spend date night with Jeremy and just relax! Too bad I can't go grab a couple beers too!
