Fall Decor

As promised here are some pictures of the fall decorations I've put up around the house.

Publix had bundles of wheat and awesome fall gourds and corn and such for cheap so I set this up in the dining room.  Simple and and natural.

Also in the dining room, I put a garland of berries around the chandelier. I love this one because I can keep it up all through the holidays. It flows from fall to Christmas beautifully!

I spray painted a few pumpkins gold and painted different designs on them with acrylic paint. You'll see them set up throughout the rest of my decor :)

Here's my front porch!  By far my favorite.  I saw people decorate with haystacks last year and always thought it was sooo cute!  So this year I was determined to do it too.  I got two from a local garden center for only $3.75 each! The big pumpkins from the Commissarry only $3.00 a piece and then the mums from Wal-mart!  I even shopped around at different places for mums and would you believe wal-mart not only had the cheapest, but also the prettiest? Awesome.

I love this mum because there's 3 different colors.  Also notice the gold pumpkin!  This one I didn't paint a design on. I couldn't think of a design so I just chose to leave one plain gold.

My wreath. I got it last year but I can't remember from where.... Sorry. Most likely Target or wal-mart though ;)

My cute little scarecrow people. I've had them for a couple years. Love these guys because they're so cheap!  If for some reason they get ruined no biggie just get more next year!

One of the other gold pumpkins. I just painted a leafy vine around it.

I hung this wreath up on the mirror in our living room. I didn't do a whole lot of fall decorating in here.  I felt like it would look way too busy if I tried anything more than this and a couple of the gold pumpkins.

I put the other two pumpkins on our entertainment stand. The one on the top is just a little decorative pumpkin I've had forever. I always put it somewhere different each year.

Close up of the painted pumpkins.  One I painted a pretty swirl pattern in brown and the other just stripes in a metallic bronze.

Here's a better view of the swirly one. This one is my favorite :) I also went back over the brown with a gold glitter paint. And I painted the stem with the glitter too even though you can't really see it in the picture it's very pretty when the light hits it.

And just for fun, some popcorn balls! I made these for the MyChurch mommy and me play group that I hosted at our house today.  I've usually always made the kind with Jello for different colors and flavors but I don't like how hard they get. I received an email from Allrecipes.com for The Best Ever Popcorn Balls a few weeks ago and have been wanting an excuse to make them! These were sooooo yummy.  I highly recommend reading the comments people leave to recipes on Allrecipes.com.  They leave the best tips and ideas for recipes that make them even better then just following the exact recipe.  For this one I added vanilla extract and used marshmallow fluff instead of marshmallows.
Seriously they took like 20 minutes to make. What took the longest was wrapping them each in saran wrap and tying the orange ribbon around it! But all in all under an hour. So worth it.

Happy Fall Yall!
