Jeremy did The bulk of the driving of course. Even if I wanted to drive he usually tells me no he's fine. This time he just was too tired to finish it off so the last 3 hours I drove us in. I wish I could have slept even a little bit though while Jeremy was driving. I was so tired but when I closed my tired eyes my ears were wide awake! LOL They listened to every little noise, the u-haul bumping around, the dogs moving around, and the talk radio that Jeremy was listening to to stay awake.... blah. I used to be able to fall asleep in the car no big deal. If I could have slept It would have made those last 3 hours no big deal. But it was miserable. I kept begging the sun to come up!
Caden did really good though. He slept the majority of the time but when we would stop to fill up Caden would wake up because our dog Chester would get up and be all excited to go potty and make a bunch of noise. So then we would have to give Caden a break from his car seat which made every pit stop like 20 minutes! He did watch some DVDs too while we drove. Thank goodness for portable DVD players! He watched Yo Gabba Gabba when we first started the trip and then Frosty the snowman and Frosty Returns both of those he giggled at the whole time. It was so cute :) And finally a little bit of Horton hears a Who. Luckily we were not in a huge hurry to be here other than the fact we wanted to sleep. hehe.
Once we got here of course Caden was ready to party. So we took turns taking naps. Somehow mine didn't get to be as long as Jeremy's ;) go figure! Then my brother in law Brandon and his wife Stacey came over to say hello and have dinner with us! Stacey and I went to the mall to do some Shopping with her sister and mom. I got another gift knocked off the list and now just have two more to get and I'm finito! After that we came home and had a spaghetti dinner with the fam. I felt like a zombie all day long though. I definitely went to bed early!
So that was our road trip to Dallas. Kind of uneventful which is good :) Sorry no pictures, but I'm definitely going to be taking lots and lots of pictures during this vacation so you'll get to see some soon! Only 6 more days until Christmas!
Glad ya'll made it safe and sound and hope ya'll are having a fantastic vacation =)
