I have a problem.... I can finally admit it. I'm a NEAT FREAK! hahaha. Ok maybe not so much a PROBLEM but it definitely doesnt let me relax sometimes. And it makes me anxious if things arent neat and organized. But it is also a blessing I think because I'm pretty darn good at it! And I think it's fun! Taking a space and making it functional and pretty makes me happy!
My mom has this really cool built in hutch in her dining area just off the kitchen. And it sort of became a storage area for kitchen items.
It's meant for storage, but she had her pretty Corningware hiding in a cupboard and things like a blender and a food processor out on display. So I pulled everything down and out of the cabinets to better utilize the cabinet space and display the pretty things she has!
Voila!
I brought the wine holder out of the right cabinet along with the other alcohol bottles. It was taking up space in the right cabinet because you couldn't lay the bottles in the holder and shut the door at the same time. So the holder was just in there not being used!
I thought the red colander should be displayed since it matches the red she's painted the hutch with. And the Stainless Steel mixing bowls looked good with the other stainless steel items on the bottom shelf.
Her nice and neat dining area :) I love it!! And it really didnt take that much time at all. I really wish I could do this kind of thing for a living. Be a professional organizer! I've kind of looked into it but am not sure where to start, or how to become certified. I guess I should contact a professional organizer and ask how she became one!
It's an idea, one that I am playing with for reals so if you have any insight share with me!

Hi Jessi. Stacy, the blog-stalker, here. I have a friend that started her own professional organization company. Her name is Julie Harvey and she has a Business page on Facebook. If you look up "Spacemasters", you should be able to find it and send her a message. She used to help out with the youth group at the church Jeremy and I grew up in in Dallas. He might remember her, although he might not have been in the youth group yet when she was there. Anyway, just thought I'd try to help you out! You have a gift for organizing. I am the most unorganized person ever. I was actually going to try out your cleaning schedule because I feel like the house gets away from me.
