New years!

Happy new year! I hope y'all had a wonderful new years eve! We didn't do anything except relax since we are on a road trip home today! Yep our super duper long trip to Texas has come to an end. Finally! I have so enjoyed being around family for so long, but not being in our own environment for two and a half months makes me feel like I'm floating around in a weird dream! Thankfully Caden has been a super traveler and adapts well. And I'm extremely thankful he's gotten to know and love his aunts, uncles, new cousins, grandparents, and great memaw!

As usual new years comes with that feeling of a fresh start! It's a new year! Realistically we can make changes anytime we want, but it helps to have that "starting point". So as usual I have made my list of resolutions! Here they are for your enjoyment!

*first and foremost I want to be able to wake up before Caden. Have some quiet time with the Lord, drink some coffee, get dressed and just feel Ready to tackle the day! If you know me, I talk about wishing I was a morning person all the time. I'm sure I've even blogged about it at some point. :) ideally going to bed by 10 and up at 6. That's a full 8 hours of sleep! It's the going to bed part that is tricky. Getting Caden in bed by 830 only gives me an hour and a half before bed. But to be honest by the time I put him down I'm exhausted myself! And getting up early will add to the mommy alone time :) not to mention actually be able to send Jeremy off to work with a hug and a kiss instead of a half awake "have a good day".

*use my planner to stick with daily, weekly, monthly, year long goals! I found a blog called planner perfect and her idea of a planner isn't just those kind you buy at the store that you fill with to-do lists and tasks that fill up our days. Instead she describes a life planner where you can write out your daily goals, plan for meals, things you want to try like learning to knit! That you can Journal in and record memories from that day. A LIFE planner. It's huge, and not meant to be carried around but to spend some time with each day to plan and prepare! This will also be something a do during my morning quiet time! Super excited about it!

*Stay on top of pictures! I purchased the Becky higgins project life photo album kit and I plan to journal and print pictures WEEKLY! I'm especially excited because it will be cool for Jeremy to look through when he gets back from deployment :)

*Get through an entire 90 days of P90X! I've done P90 workouts before, but never followed through the program the entire 90 days. Yall knew there was going to be a resolution about working out right?! :) I also need to incorporate workouts at the gym because I do have a membership and need to make sure I am using it as well.

*Continue to lead the Mommy matters group! I co-lead a group of fabulous ladies with my friend Stephanie and wasn't able to be there the last couple months due to my travel time in Texas! Before I left I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue in a leadership role, but being gone for so long really put my priorities in perspective and I realized how much I enjoyed it!!

*Work on growing my blog. I really enjoy blogging and when I can make the time for it I get a lot of positive feedback! So I aim to try and blog at least once a week.

*Last but not least I want to continue trying the homeschool lessons with caden. During our trip I thought I would be able to do them but it was just too hectic so I put it off until we could get home to our stable environment! He will be going to pre-school 2 days a week this semester but I want to incorporate home lessons along with it. It would be so ideal if we could find a school when he's school age that does the part time at school and part time homeschool. But we continue to pray about this decision and will know whether God is guiding us down that path or not.

I pray all of my resolutions are realistic and that God gives me the right attitude to see them through! And when I don't follow through, (I know its a "when" and not an "if") I pray for patience with myself and the ability to quickly re-adjust and get back to it!

Thanks for reading this years resolutions! What are yours? I would love to hear them and pray for you to also see your resolutions through!

lots of love!
