Mothers day & the Mama Project

Happy Mother's day Yall!  This mother's day is really special because my mom and I get to spend it together!  I cant even remember the last time I was actually with my mom on mother's day!  And of course the best bonus my mom gets to spend time with her first grandson!  

 

Becoming a mom makes you completely appreciate what your mom has done and continues to do for you!  So those times where I may want to be a brat and not call my mom I think of how much it would hurt my feelings if Caden didnt want to call me! :( I'm making sure to appreciate this time when I'm the coolest person in Caden's eyes :)  I know it wont be long until I'm just totally embarrassing and only good for money and food! hehe.  So until then we are pals!

The Mama Project

I was very blessed to be a part of something that a local photographer Jessica Flynn wanted to do to honor mommies that have experienced the loss of a child, or in some cases, many children.   This was a special mother's day project to remember the babies that we will always be mothers to, that we will always love and will forever miss. 

Each of us simply sat down with Jessica and discussed our experiences while she took pictures. We each brought something that represented our babies.  Mine was a ring and a charm that Jeremy got for me.  You can check out all the beautiful Mamas on Jessica's blog, but here are the ones she took of me. 

I'm so thankful to have these pictures because we dont have many of our little angel.  So thank you Jessica for such a wonderful gift on my first mother's day as a mother of two.
